NI’s new Musollah Card 2012!

Keep a look out for qiblat directions if you’re still unsure where it is.

A gentle reminder to all my brothers & sisters, let’s keep our musollah-s clean by clearing off any dust & placing the sejadahs/telekung back to the box after use. 

And that includes keeping the floor in the toilet clean from flooding while taking our wudhu’ too!

Let’s help to ease the burden of our cleaners in campus!

New TP NurIkhwan Logo

Salam semua!

Since Temasek Polytechnic recently change it’s logo…. the committee realized that NurIkhwan logo needs a change since the first logo was only 100×100 resolution…

So take a look at the timeline for the below:

The new logo sports a cleaner look at the hand, Edges are redefined and the ‘i” is put above more. The new logo also is a new transformation for the new committee and a new start to everything. Bismillah!! For Allah’s cause!

InsyaAllah the transformation will take one or two weeks for all NI logo to take place. e.g Poster, Header, Musollah Map.

Doa’ of the day

رَبَّنا ظَلَمنا أَنفُسَنا وَإِن لَم تَغفِر لَنا وَتَرحَمنا لَنَكونَنَّ مِنَ الخٰسِرينَ

Rabbana thalamna anfusana wain lam taghfir lana watarhamna lanakoonanna mina alkhasireen

“Our Lord ! we have wronged ourselves and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”

Qiblat in TP

Assalamualaikum,

Fellow muslims students in Temasek Poly. It has been quite on-going issue about the qiblat in TP since there is a magnetic wave that is circling the administration block and usually when students try out the qiblat the compass goes haywire. InsyaAllah I will be explaining more about the qiblat below so do read on

If you take a look at Google Maps searching “Temasek Poly”. You would notice that the North of the Temasek Poly is different from map that is posted on their poster.

This shows that the difference in positioning the true north is somehow deceiving. However, when students try to use compass/ applications showing the qiblat, the area will get disturbance because of magnetic waves. So to measure it’s true qiblat degree it was measure at 293.01 degrees from two different website; 1 and 2. BUT because TP posted their Campus Map on North East. The somewhat correct angle would be 270 degrees. The below Musollah Map would explain it all

Keep the faith, trust Him.

A little boy is telling his Grandma how “everything” is going wrong. School, family problems, health problems, problems with friends, etc.

Meanwhile, Grandma is baking a cake. She asks her grandson if he would like a snack, which, of course, he does.

“Here, have some cooking oil.”Yuck” says the boy.”How about a couple raw eggs? ” “Gross, Grandma!”"Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?”

“Grandma, those are all yucky!”

To which Grandma replies: “Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!

 Moral of the story : Allah s.w.t, works the same way. Many times in our lives we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God indeed knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work out for good. We just have to trust Him and eventually, they will all make something wonderful.

 Hence, when being thrusted upon a trial in this life, do not pray to God to REMOVE the difficulty and challenge right infront of us. Rather, pray to Him for strength and patience in abundance, to be able to OVERCOME the challenges instead. Getting THROUGH a problem makes you stronger and better as a person, while getting AWAY from one only makes you even less confident with your own capabilities. The best way out of a problem indeed, is always through it. Hence, let us continue to establish our faith in Allah s.w.t when given the many tials and challenges, for it is all made and designed for our very own good. Allah indeed knows best what is best for us, and all praises to Him for He is indeed the All-Knower(Al-Alim) and the All-Wise(Al-Hakim).

 Verily, Allâh is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise. And follow that which is revealed to you from your Lord. Verily, Allâh is Well-Acquainted with what you do. And put your trust in Allâh, and Sufficient is Allâh as a Wakîl (Trustee, or Disposer of affairs). [Surah Al-Ahzab: 2,3]

Solution for every problem

Every living soul, regardless of religion and faith faces problems all kinds throughout their lives. Its amazing when we think about how fortunate we are to be Muslims. For as some of the disbelievers drown their sorrows in alchohol and distract themselves by committing acts which indulges their lusts, we Muslims have Allah s.w.t and indeed it is He alone who is sufficient for us. Hence, never hesitiate to consult in Him at both times of adversity as well as prosperity, for the shortest solution to every single problem in life, is to shorten the distance between your forehead and the floor.

Allah Alone is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs for us.
